Our Story
SuperBee a Social Enterprise
SuperBee Founder,
Antoinette Jackson
Australian-born, Antoinette Jackson founded SuperBee Wax Wraps in 2016. Living in Northern Thailand, she was troubled by the scurge of single-use plastic, and driven to develop a sustainable product to tackle this problem.
Antoinette set about creating the Beeswax Solution for her Wraps in her kitchen, at home. After many failed attempts, she finally hit on the perfect recipe and as they say the rest is history!
Today, SuperBee is a dynamic and thriving social enterprise, nestled in the picturesque mountains of Northern Thailand. It employs a dedicated team of local staff, who are undoubtedly the heart and soul of the business.
Antoinette’s Golden Rules
Employees & community first; Prioritise People, Planet and Profit equally; If it seems like a good idea, let’s give it a go!
Empowerment
Promote women’s empowerment, create employment in rural areas and enforce the labour laws of Thailand, paying 20% more than the living wage suggested by the Fair Trade Association.
Ethical
Promote a loving, ethical and safe work environment in our workshop and office. Encourage our employees to live a greener lifestyle by providing them with the tools and information to reduce their plastic use.
Like-Minded
Partner with like-minded people who care about the future of our children and this planet. Who have the courage to do business by following their own minds and hearts, not the norms that have already created so much destruction.
The Production Team
The team is made up of mostly women, from local villages. Many have remained with the company since it’s early days. Some have undergone leadership training and now work in management roles.
Family
Provide a safe and supportive working environment that especially helps families and single parents, through family friendly working hours and working conditions. A family run business that lives our values: Integration, Connection, Awareness, Intention and Practice.
Quality
Deliver high standards of quality through our processes, equipment and practice. When we say on the package that the product is handmade with love we really mean it.
Sharing
We support others, by sharing our profits and products to projects globally, that promote love and kindness to our planet and its people. We also support other ethical businesses through social media.
